 Lisa
Nelson • Director of the Conservatory and Vocal Instructor
Lisa Nelson is the founder and director of the Astoria Conservatory of Music. She also is the vocal studies instructor. In addition to her duties at the Conservatory, Lisa is the Choir Director for the First Presbyterian Church. She is a former Choir Director of the North Coast Chorale. Her teaching and music directing credits also include the Astoria School District, River City School of Arts and Crafts, Tahoe Conservatory of Music, and the Lake Tahoe School. She has provided the music direction for several local professional and amateur productions including: "Ruthless, the Musical", "The Rocky Horror Picture Show", "Angry Housewives", "Little Shop of Horrors" and "Godspell". Lisa earned her Bachelor of Music and Post Graduate Teaching Credential from Sierra Nevada College - Lake Tahoe.
