Jude Matulich-Hall is a strings teacher at the Astoria Music Conservatory. She is also concertmaster of the North Coast Chorale orchestra, is a violinist in Columbia River Symphony and Cascadia Chamber Opera, concertmaster of North Oregon Coast Symphony for 5 years, and is the founder of the non-profit organization Outskirts Orchestra which strives to compensate musicians for their work to benefit children, teens, veterans, and senior citizens on the “outskirts” of society. She not only teaches how to play, but she brings in reading music, music theory, caring for the instrument, and stretches and exercises so the body doesn’t build bad habits, as well as a lot of joy, fun, and compassion to the learning process.
