Note to Dancers & Parents
Regular attendance is essential to a dancer’s progress and success. New concepts, techniques, and choreography are typically introduced at the beginning of each week, while subsequent classes focus on reinforcing those skills and developing the muscle memory needed for long-term growth. Consistent participation allows students to build upon previous lessons and stay aligned with the curriculum.
As dancers advance into higher ballet levels, the cumulative nature of training becomes increasingly important, and frequent absences can make it more challenging to keep pace with class expectations. Our program is designed for students who are committed to their ballet education and wish to fully engage in the structured progression of training.
Description of Classes
Creative Movement ( 1/2 hour/wk)
ages 3-5
Wed 3:30-4pm
$40/month
Celebrating a young child’s creativity and joy, this class is focused on movement through music while interpreting the world around them. Children will be introduced to a broad range of movements as well as establishing a base for beginning ballet concepts. Watch your child transform into butterflies and monkeys all while absorbing the benefits of classical music.
Pre-Ballet (1/2 hour/wk)
ages 5-7
Friday 3:30-4pm
$40/month
Our Pre-Ballet class is a cross between creative movement and Ballet I. Students are introduced to basic french terminology and techniques, ballet class etiquette, developing self-discipline and focus. Musicality and creativity are still very important elements in this class.
Ballet I (1 hour/wk)
ages 6+
Thu 4-5:00pm
$60/month
This class serves as a bridge between creative movement and moves into a beginner ballet class. Barre work will be introduced focusing on alignment and technique with two hands on the barre, as well as center work. By the end of the year barre will be with one hand. Although this class is the first real introduction to Ballet, we still focus on creativity of movement as well as musicality. Students quite often take two years in this class, due to the amount of information and content.
Ballet II (2 hours/wk)
ages 8-11
Tuesaday & Thursday
5–6 pm
$120/month
Ballet II builds upon foundational ballet skills while focusing on the development of technique, strength, musicality, ballet theory, and vocabulary. Students will continue to explore body awareness and movement mechanics through an age-appropriate introduction to kinesiology, helping them develop healthy movement habits and a deeper understanding of dance technique.
Performance opportunities are incorporated throughout the year to foster stage presence, confidence, and artistic expression. Dancers are encouraged to demonstrate mastery of fundamental ballet concepts and skills as they prepare for advancement to the next level of training.
Ballet III (5.5 hours of dance/wk)
Monday, Wednesday, & Friday
4-5:30pm,
Friday Repertoire 5:30-6:30pm
$180/month
Level 3 Ballet focuses on advancing coordination, strength, technique, and musicality while building the physical foundation necessary for more challenging ballet work. Students continue to develop proper alignment, control, and artistry as they progress in their training.
Particular emphasis is placed on muscle development and core strength, as eligible students may be considered for pointe work during the year. Introduction to pointe is determined by the instructor and is based on physical readiness, technical proficiency, age requirements, and overall strength.
Students are expected to arrive early to allow adequate time for stretching and warming up before class. For dancers invited to participate, pointe class is included as part of their training.
Ballet IV (5.5–6.5 hours of dance/wk)
Monday & Wednesday
6-7:30 pm, Friday 4-5:30 pm,
Pointe class is Monday & Wednesday 5:30-6 pm,

This level in the Vaganova method is considered a pivotal “intermediate” year that bridges foundational skills with advanced virtuosity, focusing heavily on building strength, endurance, and technical precision. This stage marks the transition to more complex, demanding movements and is characterized by the introduction of preparation for big turns and enhanced, faster, or more complex work (batteries) at the barre and center. Pointe, partnering, conditioning, and repertoire class is included in this level.
Modern (1 hr/wk)
ages 8+
Tuesdays 4-5pm
$75/month
Modern Dance offers a dynamic contrast to the structure and traditions of ballet, emphasizing freedom of movement, creativity, and self-expression. Students will explore a variety of modern dance techniques while developing strength, artistry, and body awareness. Through improvisation, guided movement exploration, and collaborative exercises, dancers will discover new ways to move, create, and connect with others.
This class encourages curiosity and experimentation, making it an inspiring study of movement possibilities and creative expression. Modern Dance is an excellent complement to ballet training, helping dancers expand their versatility and artistic voice.
Musical Theater (1 hr/wk)
Saturday 12-1pm
ages 8+
$60/month
Step into the spotlight in this exciting Musical Theater class! Each class is divided into two parts: the first half focuses on vocal performance, where students work with a live pianist to learn and rehearse songs from beloved musicals. During the second half, students bring those songs to life by adding choreography, stage presence, and storytelling through movement.
This class welcomes all levels of dance experience and emphasizes creativity, confidence, and fun. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or trying musical theater for the first time, you’ll enjoy singing, dancing, and recreating moments from your favorite Broadway shows!
