Lisa Nelson is the founder and director of The Astoria Conservatory and in addition to her administrative duties, Lisa teaches voice, piano and musical theater classes. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree and post-graduate teaching credentials at Sierra Nevada University-Lake Tahoe. In addition to teaching music in both the public and private school systems, Lisa has taught voice and piano students for over 30 years. Lisa has performed in several productions with the Tahoe Players Association and was music director for productions at the River Theater-Astoria. She has conducted student, church and professional choirs. Lisa has served on the boards of several performing arts organizaitons including the Astoria Music Festival and Cascadia Chamber Opera.
