Shelley Loring teaches flute, beginning piano and Kindermusik at the ACM. She has been teaching music lessons for 35 plus years. She was a Flute Performance major at San Francisco State University and completed her Music Education Bachelors Degree from Portland State University. She also completed her Masters Degree in Special Education, specializing in Early
Childhood Education from Portland State University. She sees her work as a certified Kindermusik teacher as a wonderful blending of her passions for both music and early childhood education.
She has performed on flute in many orchestras and chamber ensembles in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Portland Metro Area, including substitute/extra with the Oregon Symphony Orchestra, and toured the Western United States for the Community Concerts Organization with the Ralph Wells Trio. She is currently an active member of the music community here on the Oregon Coast, performing with the North Coast Symphonic Band, North Coast Chamber Orchestra, Equinox Jazz Trio, Goodenberger/Loring Flute and Piano duo, and many other performing groups.
