Summer Dance Camp

Class Descriptions

Baby Swans

Let your child be swept up into the world of dance, story time, and exploring movement through nature’s example. In this class we will work on creative movement, musicality, acting, and yoga.

White Swans

Explore the world of ballet through beginning ballet movement, choreography, and french terminology. We will also explore famous Ballets and dancers, along with an introduction to yoga for ballet.

Allegro & Pirouettes

What is Allegro & Pirouettes….Jumps and turns! This class will focus on progressing our jumps and turns throughout the week. Included in this class will be establishing a connection with our core through pilates, and useful stretches and yoga asanas to help with protecting dancers bodies from injury.

Experiments with Contemporary Choreography & Dance Activism

This class is focused on exploring social issues through contemporary dance. How do we express our world through dance? How does society affect our body and minds? How can our bodies move in ways that emote our thoughts? We will study examples of past dance activism as well as developing our own interpretation of a social issue. Great for dancers to explore their thoughts on the world around them.
